This was taken on the 11th of January (Tuesday), near the river at West End (one suburb away from me). My friend Helen is escorting her kitty (who had refused to come when they were evacuating, and Nick & Helen were unaware of how high the flood waters would get) across the now fully submerged street in a kiddy pool. What a hero!

But seriously, 5 days ago this was a normal street, and now in some parts the water is over 3m deep.
